Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
